Editing
The job of an editor requires precision, accuracy, and a firm grasp of language. Almost more importantly, though, are the skills that an editor needs to have in order to effectively communicate with his or her author. Still trickier is learning the many different levels of editing, which include: copyediting, line editing, and developmental editing.
My portfolio is divided into two sections: the first, titled "Editing Work", includes samples of pieces that I have edited, while the "Fourth Genre" area details my experiences as an editorial assistant.
