Editing Work

While I volunteered as a freelance copyeditor for The Big Green during my undergraduate time at MSU, the majority of my work as an editor has been project-based. Below is a sampling of these projects, as well as some of my own work that I have edited.

Editing Report
A developmental editing report that I wrote for a classmate on a creative piece entitled "Types of Guys."

Crisped
This was a one page writing exercise that was originally drafted for a creative writing class. The two page spread illustrates the progress of line editing — one page is a rough draft, edited by myself with the conventional marks. The other page is the clean, finished version.

Charles Hawtrey Project
The premise of the project was to read the first few chapters of a book about Charles Hawtrey, and do some basic editing on it (developmental, copy, and line). These documents include a three page Editing Report, followed by the first three pages of original text with my track changes and queries.
